plants simplifies and economises regeneration methods.<\/p>\n<p>It is well known that the protein and colloidal phases of products, especially in certain particular vintages, lead to clogging, sometimes irreversible, of the final microfiltration membranes in bottling.<\/p>\n<p>Obviously, at the end of the process, various heterogeneous substances such as protein phases, polysaccharides, pectins, polymerised phenolic fractions and glucidic colloid protectors must be removed from the septa.<\/p>\n<p>These strong clogging agents, although located on the outside of membranes, tend to penetrate the \u2018sponge\u2019 of polymeric septa or the coating layers of ceramics and are difficult to remove completely.<\/p>\n<p>Usual washing protocols involve caustics, acids and
