Milk filtration
Milk filtration is increasingly applied and diversified!
Membrane filtration technology applied to milk filtration is known to have several applications:
- The microfiltration of skimmed milk to remove bacteria
- The microfiltration of skim milk to separate proteins
- The ultrafiltration of whole milk for subsequent cheese production
- Ultrafiltration to concentrate milk for protein concentrates
It is clear that by changing both the characteristics of the milk and the membranes, the protocols to be optimised require different chemical and enzyme formulations.
Since our FILZYM range of detergents is theonly one on the market that is very diverse, first and foremost in terms of enzyme cocktails, we can provide you with the most suitable products.

Here are some examples:
- For microfiltration of skimmed milk, we may recommend formulations that favour high alkalinity and protease activity;
- For ultrafiltration of whole milk, lipases will also be important for complete action;
- In the presence of high lactose concentrations, a multi-enzyme formulation with lactase will be even more effective.
The FILZYM range is the only one that can boast specific enzyme detergents for the above applications:
- 5 different enzyme cocktails
- 3 product ranges diversified by concentration and enzyme activity
Starting with daily regeneration, the objective achieved is:
- Guarantee high productivity
- Extend the shelf life of membranes as much as possible, as witnessed by our customers
- Reduce the amount of chlorine used for sanitisation
- Redefine the environmental footprint of protocols with highly biodegradable and innovative formulations (e.g. EDTA-free and with biobased surfactants)
